We have another day of Trent Williams not practicing.

That is not a major surprise given the concern over Williams’ ankle and the fact he was on crutches after Saturday night’s game in Green Bay. Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that he and Williams both believed that he would play this weekend, and it seems like that decision could be left up until kickoff.

In encouraging news, corner Ambry Thomas participated in full for the first time since suffering a bone bruise in his knee against the Dallas Cowboys.

Below is the 49ers’ full injury report:

Did not practice:

  • Trent Williams (ankle)
  • Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle)

Limited:

  • Elijah Mitchell (knee)

Full participation:

  • Nick Bosa, Alex Mack (not injury related – rest on Wednesday)
  • Jimmy Garoppolo (right thumb)
  • Ambry Thomas (knee)

This is the second consecutive day Shanahan has said Wilson Jr. was expected to be limited, but he ended up not practicing. That’s a reflection that he was hoped to practice, but ended up being limited to side field work.

For the Rams, there are a few concerns. They were also without a tackle for the second-straight day in Joe Noteboom and speedy wide receiver Van Jefferson is working back into practice like Mitchell.

Below is their practice report:

Did not participate:

  • T Joseph Noteboom (chest)
  • QB John Wolford (illness)

Limited:

  • WR Van Jefferson (knee)
  • S Taylor Rapp (concussion)

Full participation:

  • DT Greg Gaines (toe)
  • RB Buddy Howell (hamstring)
  • T Andrew Whitworth (knee)
