It’s only been one day but the odds have shifted.

No doubt due in large part due to Tom Brady officially announcing his retirement, there are now three teams tied as favorites to land Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have joined the Steelers and Washington with 4-to-1 odds to acquire Garoppolo according to BetOnline.

Though not official, the odds of Garoppolo returning to the 49ers are incredibly slim. San Francisco has Trey Lance waiting in the wings and would have to pay Jimmy G $24.2 million to keep him on the roster next season.

The Brady retirement opens up the Bucs job, just as the Ben Roethlisberger retirement has opened up a vacancy in Pittsburgh. Both places seem like destinations that would benefit both the acquiring team and Garoppolo, considering each should be postseason contenders with above-average quarterback play.

The Washington Football team might not be in as good of a spot to contend as the other two, but are in one of the weakest divisions in football, have blue-chip talent on defense and are only one year removed from a playoff berth.

“I just want to go to a place where they want to win,” Garoppolo said during his farewell presser.
