The situation with the 49ers’ star wide receiver remains, well, a situation.
San Francisco’s voluntary portion of organized team activities began on Monday, but Samuel, who has requested a trade and discernibly not made progress with the 49ers on a contract extension, will not be in attendance, per multiple reports.
Samuel was, however, in attendance at the Warriors-Mavericks Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night, when he appeared to receive jerseys from both Draymond Green and Stephen Curry.
The 49ers will open their doors to the media on Tuesday and Wednesday during Day 2 and 3 of OTAs.
