Watch: Brandon Crawford’s walk-off RBI gives Giants win in 13-12 thriller over Mets

The rest of the game was so insane, it almost made the capper seem tame by comparison.

It was a Brandon Crawford single to left field that ultimately proved to be the game-winner on Tuesday, scoring Darin Ruf from second in a 13-12 win over the New York Mets. It all came down to a play at the plate with Ruf’s slide just beating the tag of NY catcher Patrick Mazeika.

The play concluded a wild contest in which the Giants led 8-2, only to blow that lead in the eighth inning and trail 11-8. Then Joc Pederson hit his third, yes third, home run of the game in the bottom of the eighth to tie the contest at 11.

After giving up a run in the ninth, Pederson again provided the tying run in the final frame with a two-out RBI single. Crawford came up next and completed the comeback.
