Video obtained by Chad McCormack of The Big Jab — a radio station in Portland, Maine — shows Tommy Pham slapping Joc Pederson in the face before Friday’s Giants-Reds game in Cincinnati.

Pham has been suspended three games, including Friday, for his role in the altercation. The Reds outfielder told reporters Saturday morning that he had to address some “disrespectful things” Pederson had said via text about his former team, the San Diego Padres.

Before Pham’s explanation, Pederson had said the tiff stemmed from a dispute in their fantasy football league over waiver wire etiquette.

The outfielders had to be separated after Pham struck Pederson, but the latter said he didn’t retaliate because violence is never the answer.

Below are Pederson’s and Pham’s depictions of the series of events.
