Joc Pederson’s return to the Bay has been a rousing success.

According to figures released by Major League Baseball on Tuesday, Pederson has the third most votes among National League outfielders for the Midsummer Classic. Pederson’s 630,584 votes trail only the Dodgers’ Mookie Betts (1,446,050 votes) and the Braves’ Ronald Acuña Jr. (1,398,563 votes).

If Pederson can remain in that position, he’d be in line for an automatic selection for July’s MLB All-Star Game. The top six in voting as of June 30 will advance to a second phase of voting, with the top three from that group being named the starters for the game. Pederson hasn’t been selected to the All-Star Game since his rookie season with the Dodgers in 2015.

Pederson has appeared in 57 of the Giants’ 66 games this year, leading the team with a .900 on-base plus slugging and 14 home runs.

Pederson is currently the only Giants position player that has any shot of making it as a finalist to be a starter in the ASG. Carlos Rodon and Logan Webb are the two pitchers likely to join Pederson in Los Angeles on July 19.
