Victor Robles wears red nose in dugout after Madison Bumgarner calls him a ‘clown’

He might not be with the Giants anymore, but Madison Bumgarner hasn’t changed a bit.

The ol’ red ass himself was displeased after Saturday’s D-Backs win over the Nationals, with the way Washington outfielder Victor Robles admired his home run off Bumgarner.

“That guy’s a clown,” Bumgarner said postgame with an annoyed chuckle. “Golly. No shame. No shame. It’s 7-1, you hit your third homer of the year, you act like Barry Bonds breaking the record. Clean it up. I don’t care about giving up the run. Hell we won 7-2, 8-2, whatever it was. It’s frustrating.

“I’m the old, grumpy guy, I know. But that type of stuff didn’t used to happen. Now it’s, it’s ridiculous.”

Bumgarner has a long history of getting triggered when an opponent, usually the hitter facing him, shows more emotion than Bumgarner thinks is appropriate.

Robles decided to respond on Sunday in hilarious fashion, donning a red clown nose in the dugout.

It’s unclear if Bumgarner has received word of Robles’ antics, but we’re gonna go out on a limb here and say that he probably won’t think it’s all that funny.
