It’s not official, but we have some idea of how the roster hierarchy looks heading into the 49ers’ first preseason game.

The team’s first unofficial depth chart of training camp was released by the PR staff on Tuesday, and looks pretty much how you’d think. The most notable takeaway is Jimmy Garoppolo listed as the fourth-string quarterback, an indication that his time with the organization is coming to an end.

Nate Sudfeld is listed as the backup with rookie Brock Purdy as the third stringer.

“If he’s on the depth chart, it’s because he has to be,” Shanahan of Garoppolo in his press conference on Tuesday morning.

Also interesting is that rookie fourth-round pick Spencer Burford is listed as the team’s starting right guard. As of now, the 49ers have three new starters on the offensive line, with second-year player Aaron Banks and center Jake Brendel joining tackles Trent Williams and Mike McGlinchey as the starters.

Second-round pick DE Drake Jackson, fifth-round pick NCB Sam Womack, undrafted rookie G Jason Poe and third-round pick KR Danny Gray are all listed as second string.

Here’s the full depth chart. Not listed are CB Jason Verrett, TE Charlie Woerner (PUP/Active), DL Kalia Davis (NFL/Active), DL Maurice Hurst and TE Jordan Matthews (Injured Reserve List).
