They say that winning cures everything, and 49ers general manager John Lynch believes that’s the case.

Right now that would include curing the perception that there is a problem between Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers, something Steve Young said he’s seeing when he joined KNBR on Wednesday. On Friday, Lynch responded to the claim, saying he doesn’t believe it to be the case.

“As for the resentment I really don’t believe that it’s there,” Lynch told Murph & Mac. “I do believe that you go back to the competitor, yeah we’ve had those conversations. Jimmy did think we made a mistake when we said ‘we’re going to draft a young kid.’ But hey, he’s going to be a professional.

“As for resentment, I don’t think so. Kyle talked about it yesterday. He’s spent so much time with him. And he’s not just our head coach, he’s our offensive play caller, he’s in our quarterback meetings every day. So there’s a lot of time spent.”

The notion of resentment was flamed by a video that some believed showed Jimmy insulting Shanahan’s play calling, and regarding Garoppolo’s excuses about not having a training camp after Sunday’s 11-10 loss.

Lynch said he is not a lip reader, but conceded that excuses or explanations after a loss don’t mean a whole lot. The 49ers are paid to win, and that’s all that matters.

“We’re all good, we just need to win fellas,” Lynch concluded. “That’s all we need.”
