Draymond Green leaves bench to chat with LeBron James on court during Warriors-Lakers game

Draymond Green and LeBron James are friends and both repped by the Klutch Sports Agency that James founded, but that doesn’t mean an incident that took place late in the third quarter of Tuesday’s opener wasn’t bizarre.

While the game was going on, Green got up off the bench, walked onto the floor and called James over. Then Green put his arm around him and told him something, before cracking up and walking back to the bench. His Warriors teammates looked on stone faced. We’re not even going to breakdown what Andre Iguodala appeared to be doing.

It’s the type of thing that will only fan the flames to the rumors that Green will be headed to play in Los Angeles with the Lakers after this season. It was also the second strange moment for Green of the evening, the first being a 21-minute documentary that aired on TNT, dramatically retelling the Green-Jordan Poole incident from Green’s perspective.

Draymond looked solid on Tuesday and the Warriors destroyed the Lakers, but Green continues to make headlines for things that don’t have to do with his play on the court.
