If one Yankees slugger is good, two is better.

That’s the dream for the San Francisco Giants this offseason, who have been linked to both home run champion Aaron Judge and three-time All-Star Anthony Rizzo.

Though Judge is the top prize, he will also be the most difficult to get. It’s not like the New York Yankees are just going to let him walk. When it comes to Rizzo, MLB Network’s Jon Morosi believes he might be in the Orange and Black next year.

“I think Anthony [Rizzo] would be a tremendous fit for the Giants,” Morosi said on MLB Network. “A team I think we’re going to see be aggressive in free agency overall, with Aaron Judge, too. But, Rizzo out there to the west coast, I’d love that fit, and certainly his ability to hit in that ballpark. I think it would be very, very appealing for the San Francisco Giants.”

Rizzo, 33, posted his highest OPS (.817) since 2019 in his first full season with the Yankees. Rizzo is also an excellent defensive first baseman, and would be a replacement for Brandon Belt who is also a free agent and a real question mark to return to the Giants next season. Rizzo is a three-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glover.

“Anthony Rizzo, for me, is a really intriguing free agent,” Morosi said of Rizzo generally. “You look at the New York Yankees, and rightfully so, we talk a lot about Aaron Judge. …He was one of the most important bats in that lineup. …He’s going to be, I believe, one of the most valuable bats out there.”
