The Giants expect to be active in conversations across baseball once free agency officially opens on Thursday, Nov. 10.

Depending on how arbitration, Evan Longoria’s option, and Tommy La Stella’s situation plays out, the Giants have roughly $100 million committed to their 2023 payroll. Almost all of that comes off the books in future seasons, giving San Francisco ideal long-term financial flexibility.
