49ers-Chargers Inactives: Pair of starting D-linemen sit out

The 49ers will enter Sunday’s prime time matchup as the healthier team.

A plethora of players return from injury. The likes of Deebo Samuel, Kyle Juszczyk and Jauan Jennings are all back from short-term injuries, while Elijah Mitchell, Azeez Al-Shaair, Jordan Willis and Colton McKivitz were all activated from injured reserve this week.

There are still a couple of key defensive line injuries, with Nick Bosa the last starter remaining on the defensive line. Below are the inactives:

  • DL Arik Armstead
  • RB Tyrion Davis-Price
  • DL Samson Ebukam
  • LB Curtis Robinson
  • DL Kemoko Turay
  • OL Nick Zakelj

For the Chargers, the picture is much more bleak. Justin Herbert will be without his top three receivers in Mike Williams, Keenan Allen and Jalen Guyton (for the year).

Los Angeles lost starting left tackle Rashawn Slater at the start of the season, and despite the Niners’ shorthandedness, it’s a Chargers group that has struggled this year.
