The NFL’s sack leader, coming off a sterling, three-sack performance, has popped up on the injury report.

Kyle Shanahan provided an update on Monday afternoon, telling reporters that Nick Bosa — who has a league-leading 14.5 sacks — came out of Sunday’s game with hamstring irritation. He said he’ll be managed throughout the week; his status against the Buccaneers is murky at this point, but it was not described as a significant injury.

There were more substantial injuries on the report than Bosa’s, though.

Hassan Ridgeway suffered a pectoral strain that is significant enough to end his regular season. While a strain is often used to connote something less than a tear, they are the same thing. It sounds like a partial tear, which is rehabbed, rather than surgically repaired.

Ridgeway has been a major contributor, especially as Arik Armstead sat on the sidelines. It will be interesting to see if the 49ers place him on injured reserve. The 49ers have two return slots available, but both Elijah Mitchell and Javon Kinlaw are currently on the list and are expected to return. If Ridgeway is added, it’s likely his season is over.

The last injury note was safety Tarvarius Moore, who suffered a knee sprain and is expected to miss a “few weeks.”

There was no update on Jimmy Garoppolo other than that he was in the team’s meeting on Monday and was described as being “in good spirits.” He’ll continue to undergo testing to determine the right course of treatment, but his season is over.
