Tom Brady on signing INT ball for Dre Greenlaw: ‘It was complete s**t for me’

Tom Brady gets put in some weird situations. That’s what happens when you’re Brady and universally deemed the greatest of all time.

After throwing a pair of interceptions and losing in a 35-7 bludgeoning with more than 80 local family and friends in attendance for Brady’s hometown 49ers, Dre Greenlaw asked Brady to sign the ball he picked off.

Earlier in the week, Greenlaw said on KNBR that he’d been manifesting a “Brady ball” and was dead-set on getting one.

He almost didn’t ask Brady to sign it, he said. But once Fred Warner came over and asked about it, he followed through.

Brady, to his credit, obliged.

It’s the second time he’s done that. Last season, Jets corner Brandin Echols got Brady to sign the ball. He vowed that he’d never sign another one, until Greenlaw got him.

On his “Let’s Go!” Podcast with Jim Gray on Monday, Brady was asked by Gray about signing the ball, admitting it was not ideal.

“It was shit for me, to be honest,” Brady said. “It was complete shit. But I try to be a gentleman. No, it was actually, I mean, look. It was a great play he made, I’m happy he’s got the ball. I wish I didn’t throw it, but I’m trying to be a good sport. Because a lot of times I’m not a good sport. I can be a pretty bad sport, so in the moment, when they get me in the right frame of mind, I’m actually a good sport.”
