Joe Staley had time on Sunday night.
The former 49ers offensive lineman ripped Giants rookie edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux on Twitter, when Thibodeaux said that his Giants might be able to beat the Niners while he watched the NFC championship game.
“Way this game look we might be better than the 49rs”, Thibodeaux wrote with three crying-laughing emojis.
That prompted Staley to throw a haymaker.
“Ur a flash player who gets bodied by average tackles,” Staley responded. “Don’t let the New York media affect you too much.”
He wasn’t the only one.
“Don’t do that bro . I watched y’all film”, Arik Armstead said.
“And it was God awful”, linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles added.
Thibodeaux decided he had to respond, and claimed he didn’t know who Staley is. That just opened the door for Joe to go in for more.
“Enough for u to respond.” Joe wrote. “Congrats on your 4 sacks this year tho. that’s huge. Unbelievable numbers.”
Former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes tried to get involved as well, but Staley dismissed him easily.
“Ur a kicker” he responded hilariously.
If you’re gonna troll the 49ers on Twitter, you’ll have to face the wrath of Joe.
