No one from the 49ers will want to re-live the NFC championship. But because of the way the game played out at the end, some of them will have to.

As the game plodded on for an entire half while both teams knew the 49ers, without a quarterback capable of throwing the football, stood no chance of mounting a comeback, things got chippy.

San Francisco was frustrated, and a couple of plays netted flags for late hits. But the most high-profile play came when Deebo Samuel and Eagles safety K’Von Wallace grabbed each other by the facemask and refused to let go.

Trent Williams, now infamously, broke things up by ripping Wallace away from Samuel and tossing him to the ground.

Per Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Williams was one of six 49ers players fined in the game. All but Talanoa Hufanga (late hit) and Dre Greenlaw (throwing some coordinated hooks at the football, but after the whistle) were discernibly for their role in the scuffle.

The fines, per Barrows:

– T Trent Williams: $12,731
– WR Ray-Ray McCloud: $10,833
– LB Dre Greenlaw: $10,430 (punching at ball)
– S Talanoa Hufanga: $4,916 (hit out of bounds on QB)
– CB Deommodore Lenoir: $4,879
– WR Jauan Jennings: $4,583

To be fair to Greenlaw, while the thought to throw that many jabs was poor, the form was pretty solid:
