Bryce Johnson leaves game after incredible catch in center field

Bryce Johnson made the best defensive play of the young season on Wednesday, but paid the price for doing so.

The speedy outfielder made an incredible fourth inning-ending leaping grab in center field that saved at least two runs, allowing the Giants to hold on to their slim lead vs. the Dodgers. Unfortunately, Johnson’s catch off the crack of Freddie Freeman’s bat sent him crashing into the outfield wall, and left him lying on his back as trainers eventually ran out to his aide.

Johnson left the game under his own power, forcing Mike Yastrzemski to move to center field. Earlier in the game, Yaz had moved from center field to right field due to an injury to Michael Conforto.
