Deebo Samuel hangs up on radio host after question about NFC Championship

Deebo Samuel is done talking about the Philadelphia Eagles apparently.

The 49ers wide receiver hung up on a national radio host on Monday after he was asked about his comments from earlier this year, that he believed the 49ers would have beat the Eagles in the NFC Championship if Brock Purdy was healthy.

After being initially asked on the “The Zach Gelb Show” if he still believed that, Samuel made it clear that he didn’t want to elaborate.

“I do, but we’re not gonna keep talking about that,” Samuel said. “I said what I said.”

Then Samuel made a parting comment before hanging up.

“I don’t know. Just wait until Week 13, 12, whatever week it is, and we’ll show you,” Samuel said.

Then a PR specialist stepped in and said “Alright, we’re good to go.”

“We got hung up on because all we did was ask him about the quarterback situation, and then Philadelphia, and we got hung up on by Deebo Samuel? That’s a joke, an absolute joke. That’s absurd,” Gelb said.

Safe to say, Samuel won’t be going on Gelb’s radio show again any time soon.
