Buckle up, folks. This one’s going to be a fun ride.
We’ve finally reached the long-awaited Western Conference Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, a series many expected to happen after Chris Paul left Los Angeles to partner up with James Harden.
There is no shortage of star power between the two teams, and that star power took no time making an impact on Game 1 in Houston.
Just over a minute into the first contest, James Harden drove on Kevin Durant and put the ball in the hoop, drawing a foul on the way. Draymond Green was waiting under the basket, and caught the ball as it was falling to the ground.
After he hit the shot, Harden made no attempt to get out of Green’s way. Draymond took offense to this act, elbowing Harden and shoved harden on the shoulder. That drew a technical foul, his second of the playoffs.
A player needs to commit seven technical fouls in the playoffs to be suspended a game, so Draymond has four more to use when he sees fit.
