The Giants did not get much rest before their game Monday in Colorado started. They will have to play another in a few hours and two more in the next two days.
Still, the Giants batters are not complaining and don’t want this to end.
In the hot and easy-traveling air of Coors Field, San Francisco erupted, scoring 12 runs in three innings and destroying Colorado starter German Marquez — the same pitcher who tossed a one-hitter at Oracle Park in April.
The rout was on immediately, five of the six first Giants batters recording hits; the one out was a Pablo Sandoval sacrifice bunt. Brandon Crawford and Mike Yastrzemski went back-to-back to conclude the scoring of a five-run first.
They took an inning off — zero runs in the second — before they went back to work.

The Giants batted around in the third, highlights including a Yastrzemski two-run double and Buster Posey two-run shot to deep center. Through three innings, Brandon Belt, Posey, Alex Dickerson, Crawford and Yastrzemski each had a pair of hits. Meanwhile, the Rockies had one against Jeff Samardzija.
