OAKLAND – Well, that’s not very nice. Draymond Green was suspended for tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after an altercation with Kevin Durant in last night’s 121-116 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Green reportedly called out Durant for his impending free agency and was suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

Today, Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reported that Green called Durant a “bitch” repeatedly. Before the game, both Bob Myers, the Warriors’ president of basketball operations, and head coach Steve Kerr addressed the media regarding the suspension. Myers said Green handled the news professionally, but neither Myers nor Kerr provided details on Green did that was detrimental.

Kerr said that Durant’s impending free agency has not bothered anyone on the team, despite the speculation regarding Durant possibly leaving the Warriors in the summer. Myers also said Durant did not impact the team’s decision to suspend Green, when asked about his upcoming free agent status.

“This was an organizational decision,” Myers said. “Not his decision. An organizational decision.”
